HONG KONG: Retail group Dairy Farm International Holdings Ltd reported yesterday that its net profit surged more than 11 times last year, boosted by the sale of its New Zealand supermarket business, and said it was planning a major share buyback.
The Singapore and London-listed unit of Jardine Strategic Holdings, an old Asian trading group, said its 2002 net profit soared to US$343mil from US$30mil the previous year.
