NAM member countries, which are mostly well endowed with high potential commodities, are encouraged to improve on their bargaining power by emulating the success of major world rubber producers Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand in their joint cooperation of influencing the rubber prices in the international market.
According to Indonesia Industry and Trade Minister Rini Soewan, “in the era of globalisation, NAM members must act together in cooperating on real trade issues to improve on their bargaining position.”
