HONG KONG: China Resources Power (CRP) is reportedly buying four mainland power plants from Sithe, an independent power producer under French-American media group Vivendi Universal.
According to the South China Morning Post, CRP – a sister firm of Hong Kong-listed conglomerate China Resources Enterprise, is putting the power assets together as it prepares for an overseas listing. CRP already controls more than a dozen power plants valued at about 20 billion yuan (US$2.31bil). – Reuters
