MELBOURNE: Australia’s biggest winemaker Southcorp Ltd dumped its chief executive, Keith Lambert, yesterday just weeks after it slashed its profit forecast, driving its share price to four-year lows.
Lambert, who has headed the company since its merger with his Rosemount Estates, was ousted after the maker of Penfolds, Rosemount and Lindemans wines predicted no growth this year amid tough competition in its key British and Australian markets.
