ASIAN currencies further strengthened against the US dollar yesterday in late Asian trading as Americas President George W. Bush beat the war drums even harder in a hawkish State of the Union speech to the US Congress.
The Japanese yen was quoted at 118.15 against the greenback in late Tokyo trade, compared with 118.64 on Tuesday. The currency had surged to 117.78 against the US dollar last Friday.
