MRA boss: Leverage on retail tech


LOCAL retailers must leverage on retail technology for their survival and to remain competitive following the entry of foreign hypermarkets into Malaysia’s lucrative retail sector, the Malaysian Retailers Association (MRA) president Ramli Idris said. 

The heat of competition from foreign players would provide additional impetus for local retailers to leverage on retail technology to better understand consumer purchasing behaviour, streamline operational procedures and enhance efficiency, he said in a statement.
