SEATTLE: Specialty coffee retailer Starbucks Corp has reported record first-quarter profit and sales as it continued to see growth that exceeded analysts’ expectations.
For the three months ended Dec 31, 2002, Starbucks reported a net income of US$80mil – a 17% jump from its profit of US$68.4mil for the year-earlier period.
