SEATTLE: Amazon.com Inc has delivered its second profit ever, beating analysts’ expectations for the fourth quarter of 2002 amid robust holiday sales growth spurred by free shipping and deep discounting.
The online seller of books, toys, CDs, clothing and other items also raised its sales outlook for the year on Thursday, predicting a 15% increase in revenue, up from its previous goal of a 10% increase.
