LONDON: British retailer Laura Ashley Holdings plc said yesterday it would take an exceptional charge of £7.7mil to cover the cost of closing 35 shops in continental Europe, including all its German outlets.
The MUI Holdings Bhd-owned retailer, best known for its floral fabrics, also said in a statement it would raise £9mil through a rights issue at about 8p per share.
