MBM hopes to seal Hino deal in H2

MBM Resources Bhd hopes to “seal a pact” with parent Med-Bumikar Mara Sdn Bhd to take over its 42% stake in the Hino commercial vehicles franchise business in the second half of the year in a bid to boost earnings. 

Its senior manager Poh Chee Kwan told AFX-ASIA in an interview that the company was now exploring the possibility with its parent company and if all went well, “we should be taking over the Hino franchise by the second half of the year”.
