THE tale of Berjuntai Tin Dredging Bhd is one of over-reliance on one core ailing industry and unsuccessful diversification despite various attempts.

Since ceasing its mining operations in 1993, Berjuntai has been without a core business, and with a deficit in its shareholders’ equity, it is affected by both the KLSE’s Practice Note 4 (“PN4”) on Deficit in Shareholders’ Equity and Practice Note 10/2001 (“PN10”) on Level of Operations.
