THERE are many in the furniture industry that might view the future of their business with a sour visage. With over 3,000 players in Malaysia and a likely growth of only 5 per cent per annum for the next 5 years, the threat of extinction is only too ominous.  

Nonetheless, after 18 years of sweat and toil in the furniture world, Baswell Resources Bhd executive director and chief executive officer, Khoo Yew Kheng, can only condense her thoughts as such: “Furniture is like fashion. All you got to do is keep abreast with the latest changes. What is in today could be out tomorrow!”
