MAHB finalising sale of Sepang F1 Circuit and SIC

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) said it is finalising an agreement to sell the Sepang F1 Circuit and Sepang International Circuit Sdn Bhd (SIC) to the Ministry of Finance for RM389.35mil, which will be offset against outstanding concession fees owed to the government.

MAHB reiterated in a statement that the sale talks were initiated with the government after the company decided to focus on its airport services business, as the operations of Sepang International and the ownership of the Sepang F1 Circuit did not fit into its medium-term strategic plan.
