SECURITY seals manufacturer Mega Fortris (M) Sdn Bhd has projected its turnover to double to some RM100mil this year.
Its marketing director Adrian Ng said it could have achieved a revenue of between RM48mil and RM50mil before consolidation last year, including RM29mil contributed by its Shah Alam manufacturing plant.
Mega Fortris, a subsidiary of Mega First Corp Bhd (MFCB), also operates a plant each in China, Thailand and the US.
About 90% of the production from our main plant in Shah Alam is exported, Ng told reporters after an agency agreement signing between Mega Fortris and Jong Brothers United (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuching last Wednesday.
Jong Brothers managing director Dr John Jong was the other signatory.
Jong Brothers, a leading trading house in Sarawak, will distribute Mega Fortris security seals through its extensive networks in Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei.
The trading house has branches in Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri (Sarawak), Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau (Sabah) and dealers in Labuan and Brunei. Besides, it has some 4,500 direct account outlets.
Ng said the world market for security seals was worth about US$200bil a year and the appointment of Jong Brothers would help boost Mega Fortris sales in Borneo.
