Johan Ceramics targeting RM60mil turnover

JOHAN Ceramics Bhd is targeting RM60mil in turnover this year compared with RM40mil last year, its managing director Raja Abdul Aziz Raja Musa said on Friday.  

The projection was based on the expected growth of the construction industry this year, he said at the opening of its new showroom and marketing office in Petaling Jaya. 

Johan Ceramics started as H & R Johnson in 1977 and manufactures glazed ceramics wall and floor tiles under the brand name Johan

At present, the company has an 8% share of the Malaysian market worth RM500mil annually. 

The company's products are tailored for both domestic and export markets.  

At present they are exported to Italy, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore and Brunei. 

It plans to expand its export markets to West Asian countries this year and increase exports to 10% of production from the present 5%. 

Raja Abdul Aziz said the company would upgrade its Senawang factory this year and this would increase production by 10%. 

He said Johan Ceramics also aimed to set up regional offices in Butterworth, Kuantan and Johor Baru. – Bernama
