  • CATHAY Pacific Airways Ltd has appointed Vivian Lo as its country manager for Malaysia and Brunei, based in Malaysia. 

    Lo joined the airline company in Hong Kong in 1995. Prior to her current appointment, she was the network revenue manager based in Hong Kong where she was in charge of sales strategies and revenue optimisation for Asia, North America, India and the Middle East. 

    Lo has also worked in Malaysia as an assistant to the country manager for Malaysia and Brunei in 1997 and served as manager for Hanoi in 1999. 

  • I-Bhd has appointed Dr Philipp Zhang as its research and development (R&D) director. 

    Zhang, who holds a masters degree and PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, has wide experience in R&D on an international level, having led and participated in various cutting-edge R&D projects in Europe, the US and China. 

    He holds a Germany patent on a high-speed synchronisation circuit (1993) and a Chinese patent on Internet Protocol Broadcasting (2000).
