M’sians advised to focus more on personal finances and investments

MALAYSIANS need to be more financially savvy by strongly focusing on their personal finances and investment prospects, according to the newly completed Financial Planning Survey conducted by Citibank Bhd and Universiti Malaya. 

The three-month survey which was carried out in April last year and involved about 600 respondents from Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur with monthly incomes from RM2,000, revealed that 91% believed financial planning was important but only 50% truly understood financial planning.
