KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks in focus on Friday include Serba Dinamik, KNM, IHH Healthcare, Kerjaya Prospek, Velesto Energy, Lambo and Tasco, said Apex Research.

Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd applied for a temporary stay of the winding up order granted by the High Court last month against them.

KNM Group Bhd, which recently defaulted on debts amounting to over RM420 million, is in talks with all its creditors to resolve the settlement of the monies due to them from the monetisation of non-core assets and sale of Borsig GmbH.

IHH Healthcare Bhd is buying Kent Health Group, which operates the largest private hospital in Türkiye's third largest city Izmir.

Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd has accepted a Letter of Award valued at RM135.4 million.

Velesto Energy Bhd announced received a Letter of Award estimated at US$14 million.

Lambo Group Bhd has been classified as a Guidance Note 3 company.

Tasco Bhd's net profit more than doubled to RM20.44 million for the third quarter ended Dec 31.

Meanwhile, Apex said there will be some spillover effect from the dovish tone of the Fed chairman and positive sentiment of Wall Street.

"We envisage the buying interest will spill over to KLCI and trade below the resistance of 1500 points.

"The local technology sector is expected to see strong momentum after the Nasdaq index surged more than 3% overnight," it said.

The US market closed in positive sentiment with Tech-heavy index Nasdaq surged above key 12000 level.

Earlier, European market close higher as well after ECB and BOE announced 0.5% interest rate hike, as widely expected.
