IOI Corp 3Q net profit slumps on forex loss, lower contributions


Foreign currency translation loss and lower contribution from all segments impacted IOI Corp's net profit in the third quarter ended March 31, 2020.

KUALA LUMPUR: IOI Corporation Bhd posted net profit of just RM100,000 in the third quarter ended March 31,2020 versus RM245.80mil a year ago due to the foreign currency translation loss and lower contribution from all segments.

It said on Wednesday its profit before tax was RM52.60mil, down by 85.6% from RM365.40mil a year ago. Its revenue rose by RM7.6% to RM2.03bil compared with RM1.89bil a year ago.
