Over 1,100 olive ridley hatchlings released in Philippines' Bataan region


BAGAC, Bataan: A total of 1,138 olive ridley turtle hatchlings have been released into the sea after hatching at a protected site in Barangay Pagasa, Bagac, Bataan.

Pag-Asa Pawikan Protection and Conservation Center co-founder Edna Saroca Fajardo described the mass release on Friday (Jan 16) afternoon, as a rare event, noting that they typically release around 100 hatchlings on an average day.
