BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: An AirAsia flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei on Saturday (Dec 27) was forced to divert to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah over a pressurisation issue. The Flight AK278 landed safely at Kota Kinabalu International Airport without incident.
According to news reports from Malaysia, Flight AK278, left Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 1.45pm and was scheduled to arrive in Brunei at 4.05pm. The decision to divert the flight was made over a technical issue related to cabin pressurisation.

It said the pilots followed established operational procedures after the issue was detected during the flight. The Airbus aircraft is currently undergoing technical checks and rectification.
