BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Children and youths from Kampong Pandan and neighbouring areas are spending their school holidays with a series of engaging activities as the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) Kampong Pandan Library rolls out its nearly two-week School Holiday Programme.

Held over 13 days, the annual programme provides an opportunity for young participants to use their free time productively while enjoying quality moments with friends and family.

It also serves as a platform to promote local heritage by incorporating educational and culture-based activities.

Among the highlights are Kenali Warisan Kitani and Dapur Kitani, which introduce participants to Brunei’s cultural heritage and iconic traditional dishes.

Other activities include Book Detective, Mind Challenge, and a handicraft workshop, all designed to spark creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills among children and youths.

The programme continues to attract strong participation each year as part of DBP’s ongoing efforts to encourage a love for learning, reading and cultural appreciation during the school break. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
