Over one tonne of methamphetamine seized in eastern Myanmar


YANGON: Myanmar authorities have seized over one tonne of methamphetamine, or Ice, in eastern Myanmar's Shan state, the daily The Mirror reported on Saturday (Nov 29).

Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police searched a vehicle in Loilem town on Nov. 16, seizing 1.117 tonnes of Ice and arresting two suspects, the report said.
