Brunei fire marshal training strengthens emergency response

KUALA BELAIT, Brunei: Officers and staff from the Belait District Branch of Radio Television Brunei (RTB) completed a two-day fire marshal training at both the main studio building along Jalan Maulana in Kuala Belait and at the Kuala Belait Fire Station, gaining a deeper understanding of their role as first responders.

The attendees were able to learn about first responses through a series of classes and workshops, such as briefings on the proper use of fire extinguishers and fire blankets.

They also partook in a simulated crisis where they made use of the knowledge and skills gained to tackle and resolve the incident that can typically occur during emergencies.

The training was organised by RTB’s Belait District Branch in collaboration with the Corporate Communications Division of the Operation Branch ‘B’ at the Fire and Rescue Department, who shared information on being a fire marshal and first responders. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
