BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: In conjunction with the International Recovery Day 2025, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) organised the Person Under Supervision (OYDP) Community Integration Programme in the form of a cleanliness campaign last Thursday, November 6, at Kampung Keramut, Danau, Tutong.

Present as the Guest of Honour at the event was Penghulu of Mukim Telisai Haslan Shahbudin.

A total of 12 OYDP participants, 13 residents from Al-Islah Centre, and eight NCB officers and staff took part in the programme, which also saw the active participation of local village residents.

The programme aimed to promote the social integration of OYDP participants within the community, while also fostering a sense of responsibility and contribution among them to serve and give back to society and the nation.

Through this initiative, NCB hopes to bring about long-term positive impacts, particularly in reducing social stigma against former drug users.

With greater public acceptance and moral support, participants will be better equipped to continue their lifelong recovery journey successfully. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
