Top local fragrance brand Sugarbomb makes history in Dubai; sole Asean rep at international beauty event

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian brand Sugarbomb has made its mark in history by becoming the sole Asean representative at the prestigious Beautyworld Middle East 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 27 to 29.

This year marks the second consecutive year of the local fragrance brand's participation at the world-renowned exhibition.

The CEO of Sugarbomb Worldwide Sdn Bhd, Ahmad Azhari Rosli, expressed his pride in showcasing Malaysia’s heritage on the global stage.

“We are proud to bring Malaysia’s heritage to the world stage through the art of batik and fragrances. It’s not merely a product, but a reflection of our nation’s identity, culture, and innovation,” he said.

The acclaimed fragrance brand took a bold step by unveiling its Sugarbomb Heritage Collection, an exclusive line of five perfumes inspired by the Malay soul and culture: Bara Senja (Embers of Dusk), Suci Nurani (Pure Conscience), Titis Embun (Dewdrop), Seloka Malam (Nocturnal Melody), and Gemersik Sutera (Silken Whisper).

The Heritage Collection was developed and endorsed in collaboration with Givaudan, one of the world’s largest fragrance suppliers.

This partnership not only elevates Sugarbomb’s credibility as an internationally recognized Malaysian brand but also reinforces its commitment to quality and innovation.

To further celebrate Malaysian artistry, Sugarbomb collaborated with Tinta Sutera, a batik manufacturer from Kelantan, to hand-paint exclusive batik motifs on each perfume cap — ensuring that no two bottles are ever alike, making each piece a unique work of art blending tradition and modernity.

With its growing success, Sugarbomb has expanded into various international markets through official distributors in Dubai, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and India.

The company now sets its sights on Europe, Argentina, and North America as new destinations to further extend its global reach.

This achievement proves that local Malaysian brands can stand proudly alongside global names when driven by cultural values, creativity, and consistent quality.

Founded by a group of passionate young Malaysians with a vision to make Malaysia the fragrance hub of Asia, Sugarbomb has become synonymous with innovation and world-class quality.

From its humble beginnings as a small kiosk, Sugarbomb has grown into a national pride, carrying the Malaysian name to the international stage.
