Philippines' Marcos: Asean not sending observer to Myanmar election

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama-PNA): The Association of South-East Asian Nations (Asean) is not sending an observer to the Myanmar elections in December, Philippine President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr has confirmed.

Speaking to the press after concluding his participation in the 47th Asean Summit and Related Summits here, Marcos said the issue of deploying a monitoring team had been discussed carefully during high-level talks, the Philippine News Agency (PNA) reported.
