KUALA LUMPUR: The Longevity Clinic Malaysia has officially been recognised by the Malaysian Book of Records as Malaysia's First Longevity Clinic Partnership with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) USA, marking a new milestone in functional and longevity medicine for the nation.
Founder & CEO Megan C stated, "As the first Longevity Clinic in Malaysia recognized by the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), USA, we are proud to introduce “the premier model of functional and longevity-focused care to Malaysia."
Megan C highlighted three major factors driving the establishment of the clinic:
An Aging Population: According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia, the proportion of Malaysians aged 65 and above rose from 7.7% in 2024 (2.6 million) to 8.0% in 2025 (2.7 million), out of a total population of 34.1 million. This demographic shift underscores the growing demand for quality of life in later years.
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs): The World Health Organization’s country profile shows that NCDs account for 72% of premature deaths in Malaysia. Meanwhile, the 2023 National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) revealed that only 57.2% of Malaysians underwent NCD screening or routine health checks in the past year—leaving significant room for improvement.
Medical Tourism Growth: In 2024, Malaysia welcomed 1.6 million medical travellers, generating RM2.72 billion in revenue, a 21% year-on-year increase. Popular treatments include comprehensive health screening and aesthetic/anti-aging therapies. With Visit Malaysia 2026 on the horizon, Longevity Clinic Malaysia aims to play a key role in strengthening Malaysia’s position as a hub for medical tourism.
Reflecting on her personal journey, Megan C shared, “In 2012, my father suffered a major heart attack with 90% arterial blockage. Despite surgeries and medications, his recovery was slow and unpredictable.
By leveraging on root-cause approach, he experienced better overall well-being. His transformation changed my life and inspired me to build a movement that prioritizes prevention and root-cause care. We are not just building clinics; we are building a future where people can age with strength, clarity, and vitality.”
Co-Founder & Group Medical Director Dr. Andes echoed this vision: “Believing that aging can be managed, not feared and witnessing struggles by family members with diabetes, taught me that early intervention is the key to healthy longevity. Today, it proves that while genetics set the stage, lifestyle writes the script. I want to inspire others to take action before it’s too late.”
As part of the recognition ceremony, Longevity Clinic Malaysia also unveiled its Longevity Blueprint Mobile App, a precision monitoring technology designed for personal health data management and progress tracking.
At the event, a pre-recorded congratulatory video from the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), USA is played on the big screen, honoring Longevity Clinic Malaysia as the first brand in the country to be officially recognized by IFM.
The message reflects international recognition of our clinic's commitment to science-backed, ultra-personalized functional and longevity care, marking a proud milestone not only for us, but also for Malaysia's advancement in the global functional medicine movement.
