Brunei reaffirms commitment to Asean’s disaster resilience vision

PHNOM PENH: The Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Seri Setia Ahmaddin Abdul Rahman led Brunei’s delegation to the 13th Asean Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM), the 14th Conference of the Parties to the Asean Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER), and related meetings held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from October 15 to 17.

Themed “20 Years of the Asean Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER): Asean’s Vision for Global Leadership in Disaster Resilience”, the meetings marked the 20th anniversary of the regional legal framework that strengthens cooperation, preparedness and response among Asean member states.
