South Korea's Lee orders checks of all government systems after data centre fire

SEOUL: South Korean President Lee Jae-myung (pic) on Tuesday (Sept 30) directed inspections of all government data systems for potential safety flaws, following a fire at a major state data centre last Friday that disrupted online services.

The government is still working to bring back many online public services on Tuesday after a blaze at the state-run National Information Resources Service destroyed servers and forced the shutdown of others.

The president has ordered reports on inspection results to be submitted by next week.- Reuters
