SINGAPORE: Singapore is looking into the possibility of a cap on the tariff rate, similar to those negotiated in US’ trade deals with Japan and the European Union, said Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong on Saturday (Sept 27).

DPM Gan was speaking to the media in Singapore after US President Donald Trump on Sept 25 announced sweeping new tariffs, including 100 per cent duties on branded drugs imported into the US with effect from Oct 1.
