BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: An unauthorised industrial storage facility operating in Kampong Mulaut, Mukim Sengkurong, has been ordered to cease operations for violating Section 23(2) of the Town and Country Planning Act, Chapter 248, the Department of Town and Country Planning said in a press release.

The facility was found operating on residential land within a designated housing zone, which is not intended for industrial use. The department noted that such activities can disrupt communities by creating noise, frequent movement of goods and vehicles, extended working hours, and safety risks from heavy vehicle use. It also warned of potential environmental concerns, including dust, waste, and visual impact.
