Three Bruneians nabbed for safety zone encroachment of an oil platform

BANDAR SERI BEGAEWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Three locals were detained for the alleged encroachment into the safety zone of an oil platform in the waters of Belait District during a recent joint operation.

According to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), patrols and security operations have been intensified in the waters of Brunei Darussalam, including coastal and offshore areas to ensure the security of the nation’s highly valuable assets particularly oil platforms, which play a crucial role in contributing to the country’s oil revenue and driving economic growth.
