BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Her Royal Highness Princess Masna, Commandant of the Women Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), graced a religious ceremony in conjunction with Her Royal Highness’s birthday on Thursday (Sept 11).

The event took place at the Officers’ Mess Banquet Hall, Gadong Police Headquarters, where Her Royal Highness was welcomed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Masni Jamil along with female police officers of the RBPF.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasin followed by a special lecture delivered by Deputy Director of the Centre for Contemporary Fiqh Studies, Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB), Norizzati Kasharan. A special prayer was also recited to mark the occasion.

Around 200 female police personnel, including officers and rank-and-file members from various departments, formations and police districts nationwide, attended the event.

The lecture highlighted that daily responsibilities extend beyond professional obligations, serving also as acts of worship that bring one closer to Allah. By emulating Prophet Muhammad's four noble qualities — truthfulness (siddiq), trustworthiness (amanah), conveying the message (tabligh), and wisdom (fathonah) — the talk underscored the values of integrity, professionalism and sincerity in service.

Attendees were also reminded of the importance of clean work ethics, sincere intentions and remembrance (zikir) as a means of attaining divine blessings. The Prophet’s simplicity was cited as an enduring example that true leadership lies not in power, but in humility and devotion to Allah. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
