It's a family affair as Qawwali magic returns to Malaysia: Legend Rahat Fateh Ali with son Shahzaman live in KL

KUALA LUMPUR: World-renowned Qawwali maestro Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is coming to Malaysia on Nov 1 at Idea Live Arena, 3 Damansara in Kuala Lumpur.

This highly anticipated concert will be even more historic as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will share the stage with his son, Shahzaman Ali Khan, marking a new chapter in the continuation of the legendary Khan musical dynasty.

Hitman Solutions, one of Malaysia’s leading live entertainment promoters, proudly presents the return of the world-renowned Qawwali maestro concert.

Carrying forward the unmatched legacy of his late uncle, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has established himself as one of the most celebrated Sufi and Bollywood playback singers of his generation. With a career spanning over three decades, he has performed to sold-out arenas worldwide and delivered iconic songs that have become staples in both traditional qawwali and mainstream cinema.

Fans can look forward to live renditions of his greatest hits such as 'O Re Piya' from "Aaja Nachle", the romantic ballad 'Teri Meri' from "Bodyguard", his breakthrough track 'Mann Ki Lagan' from "Paap", the globally acclaimed 'Afreen Afreen' from Coke Studio, as well as the soulful 'Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji' from "Ishqiya".

His music has transcended borders, blending classical qawwali with contemporary sounds, while Shahzaman Ali Khan now carries this torch forward — ensuring that the spirit of the Khan family tradition continues to inspire future generations.

In April this year, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performed at The Star Theatre, Singapore, where over 5,000 fans were captivated by a powerful three-hour performance filled with qawwalis, Bollywood favorites, and timeless classics — a testament to his enduring global appeal and unmatched artistry.

“We organised Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s concert in Singapore in April 2025, and it was a complete sell-out. Seeing the incredible response there, we knew we had to bring him to our own country so Malaysian fans too can experience the true voice of Sufi,” said Rohit Rampal, CEO and Founder of Hitman Group.
