More violent crimes like knife attacks, rape, molestation reported in S’pore in first half of 2025

SINGAPORE (Bernama): The number of reported physical crime cases in Singapore increased by 5.4 per cent to 10,341 in the first half of this year from 9,809 in the same period in 2024, according to the police.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF), in its Mid-Year Crime Brief released on Tuesday, stated that shop theft, outrage of modesty, and theft in a dwelling were the top crimes of concern.
