5.4-magnitude quake in Myanmar felt in Bangkok: Thai authorities


BANGKOK: A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck off the southern coast of Myanmar on Thursday (Aug 21) morning, with tremors felt in parts of Bangkok, according to the Earthquake Observation Division.

At 9.58am on Aug 21, the quake’s epicentre was recorded at latitude 16.145 deg N and longitude 96.686 deg E, about 10km deep, off the southern coast of Myanmar.
