Indonesia to hold rate as Prabowo pushes spending to spur growth


JAKARTA: indonesia’s central bank will likely keep its key interest rate unchanged after President Prabowo Subianto unveiled a 2026 budget that ramps up spending across the economy.

Of the 39 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News, 30 expect the BI-Rate to remain unchanged at 5.25% on Wednesday. The rest predict a 25-basis point reduction for a second straight month.
