PHNOM PENH: Hun Many, Minister of Civil Service, has expressed appreciation for the Thai authorities' response to the July 13 incident at Ta Mone Thom Temple, where a Thai former soldier attacked a Cambodian soldier on Cambodian soil and fled the scene. The former paramilitary was arrested by Thai authorities.

However, he cautioned that this should not serve as a justification for future provocative actions that could escalate tensions between the two nations.
