SEOUL: South Korea's Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo said exemptions or reductions in auto and steel tariffs must be included in a trade deal with the US in a meeting with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Seoul's trade ministry said on Tuesday (July 8).

Yeo said it was time to expedite negotiations as three weeks of an extension to the US tariff pause was not a lot of time, after US President Donald Trump said he would impose 25 per cent tariffs from August 1, pushed back from the previous deadline of July 9. - Reuters
