Vietnam unveils new local government authorities

HANOI: At 8am on Monday (June 30), provinces and cities across Vietnam simultaneously held ceremonies to announce decisions on the merger and reorganisation of administrative units, as part of a nationwide effort to streamline governance structures.

Each locality organised live televised broadcasts to ensure broad public access and participation in the historic announcement.
