Rain havoc in Kerala: Five killed, trees uprooted; red alert in eight districts

KERALA, (India): Torrential monsoon rains wreaked havoc across Kerala on Friday (May 30), triggering landslides, flooding, widespread power outages, and disruption of daily life.

Five people were killed in rain-related incidents in Friday’s rain. Extensive damages were also caused to houses in heavy winds and high tides.
