Integrative medicine approach key to increased cancer survival in China

BEIJING: Integrative medicine — a holistic approach that considers the patient's overall clinical condition and delivers personalised treatment — has played a significant role in raising cancer survival rates in China, according to the China Anti-Cancer Association.

Data released by the association shows that the five-year survival rate of cancer patients in China rose from 33.3 per cent around a decade ago to 43.7 per cent at the end of 2023.
