Vietnam marks Ho Chi Minh's birth anniversary with national commemorations


HANOI (Xinhua): A series of commemorative activities were held across Vietnam from Sunday to Monday to mark the 135th birth anniversary of the country's late President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam News Agency reported.

In Hanoi, a special art program titled "You Are Ho Chi Minh" was held on Sunday at Ba Dinh Square, and on the following day, a high-level delegation of party and state leaders paid tribute to the late president at his mausoleum.

A flag-raising ceremony was held Monday in Nghe An province, birthplace of the late president, while in the south-central province of Binh Thuan, a photo exhibition and a tree-planting event were organized, said the report. - Xinhua
