I was never for martial law, says former PM Han


Former prime minister Han Duck-soo (pic) stressed he opposed ousted president Yoon Suk-yeol’s martial law decree, but decried political polarisation as he sought to win the ruling party’s candidacy in a looming election.

Han reiterated his promise to enact constitutional reforms if elected and sacrifice his own presidency by stepping down once the amendment is achieved in his third year of the five-year term.
