Indonesia forms new labour council to reshape workers' rights

JAKARTA: (Bernama) In a move that could reshape employment rights in Indonesia, President Prabowo Subianto has announced the establishment of a National Labour Welfare Council, marking a pivotal step for workers’ welfare and justice in the country.

Addressing a massive crowd of over 200,000 people at the National Monument in Central Jakarta on International Workers’ Day, Thursday (May 1), Prabowo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening workers’ rights and promoting fairer labour laws.
