US tariffs could trigger global recession, warns Chinese envoy


BANGKOK: The US’ reciprocal tariffs risk triggering a global recession and will likely face widespread domestic and international opposition, warns China's ambassador to Thailand Han Zhiqiang (pic).

He explained that international trade is founded on the principles of resource distribution and the comparative advantages of each country, with the core being voluntary and mutually beneficial exchange.
