Hong Kong police arrest parent of boy, 5, found wandering alone


Hong Kong police have arrested the parent of a five-year-old boy who was found wandering alone in Wong Tai Sin.

The force received an alert at 7.41pm on Monday that the child was walking alone on 100 Ching Tak Street, where officers found him.

One of the boy’s parents was apprehended following an investigation, but it was not revealed whether the arrestee was the father or mother.

The boy was sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei for examination.

Investigations were still under way, the force said.
