Muslims in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India to observe Ramadan from Sunday (March 2)

NEW DELHI, March 1 (Bernama) -- Muslims in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India will begin fasting on Sunday after religious authorities announced the sighting of the crescent on Saturday.

Bangladesh's National Moon Sighting Committee at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka announced that the new moon was sighted in the country's skies and Ramadan of the current Hijri year 1446 will start on March 2.
