Eight-year-old fatally stabbed at Daejeon school, teacher wounded

SEOUL: A stabbing incident at a Daejeon elementary school Monday (Feb 10) evening left an eight-year-old child dead and a teacher injured, local authorities said.

The victims were found with stab wounds on the second floor of the school in Daejeon's Seo-gu at around 6pm.

The child was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The teacher, who sustained neck and arm wounds, reportedly remains in stable condition.

Police have not yet released information on suspects or motives.
